Review : Tony Moly Latte Art Cappuccino Cream-In-Scrub

Hey everyone! :)

It's my mom's birthday today and my bro and I surprised her this morning with a bouquet, a cake and a love letter! She was so happy that she even teared-up when she read the letter. We then had an interesting dinner experience at Movie Star Cafe in MoA.
I wish I took photos of this day so I could have shared it with you guys. But oh well.

Anyway, I'll just share a review of this cute product from Tony Moly...

Tony Moly Latte Art Cappuccino Cream-In-Scrub

This 80g tub is Php 578.00 in stores.

At the back of the box contains product description, ingredients list and directions of use.

Some more additional info from the website are the following:

Multi-color change scrub, Instant warmth removes even the wastes in the pores. Multifunction – Massage (Supply nutrients, Elasticity), Keratin Remove, Detox, Eases swelling, Color change like latte art. Contains: Milk protein / Caffeine / Acetylhexapeptide-8 / coffee extracts

I actually bought this product just because I like the packaging alone. Haha! I was browsing one of TM's stores for something to try out and this caught my eye immediately. I love coffee so I really thought that this is just too cute to pass. I also smelled the product and I was totally convinced that I had to take one home. I didn't really care if it will be effective. I just thought that if I use up all the product, I have a cute jar that I can use as a jewelry holder or something. :P

So on to the review...

Upon opening the cup, errr... cap, you immediately smell the coffee scent. I so love using this when I take my shower in the morning.

It comes with a cute spatula that is disguised as a stirring spoon.

The consistency is thick and creamy and it also has this soft granules that help for exfoliation.

Here it is on my hand. It gives a warm sensation on the skin upon application. It really feels like you applied warm (not hot, ok?) coffee. It really wakes me up whenever I use it early in the morning with it's super delicious scent. When you massage it, it turns into a foamy texture that is easy to spread around the face.

After I use this, I do feel like my face is clean and soft and never leaves my skin feeling dry. Though I can't really consider this as a 'scrub.' The granules are too soft to exfoliate the majority of the flaky, dry areas of the face. It's more like a face mask for me. The firming effect is barely noticeable if there is any.

I use this 3 times a week and I never encountered any irritation/breakouts.

What I like about it:

The scent
The warm sensation it gives
My face feels and is clean and soft/smooth after I use it
Locally available
Easy to spread and easy to wash off
Recommended for all skin types
No irritation nor breakouts

What I'm neutral about:

The price.

What I don't like about it:

I like my scrubs with harder texture? I guess it just doesn't help much in removing the annoying skin flakes from drying.

Will I repurchase?
I'm not so sure but for now I'll have to say no because I'm willing to try other products.

Do you like coffee scented products?
Do you also buy products just because of the packaging?
Have you tried this product yet?

Cheers!

  3. Wow! When I saw the picture beside your blog post on my blog list, I literally thought it was a cup of coffee! Little did I know that I was fooled by Tony Moly's cute packaging. I've always wanted to try a Korean branded scrub but I think I can live with my own homemade sugar scrub for now. I absolutely hate it when the scrubs don't have enough granules but also when it's too rough.. I'm a picky consumer ^_^

The fact that the scrub also warms up and smells like coffee is adorable!

Thanks for the lovely review~ ^^

I really wanted to try this out, good thing I read muna this. As much as i like this because of its super kaduper coffee like aroma and packaging, I agree with you, I feel much better using a much heavier scrub to exfoliate my skin.. :)
